i hope everyone has had a wonderful 4th of July holiday! i enjoyed my first montpelier celebration since sometime in the 1990's by riding a bike in the parade with the onion river crew! so fun. today we enjoyed the day by going for a hike with al, jen & the pups followed by some river swimming & a stop at ben & jerry's. the remainder of the day was spent reading on the porch, grilling burgers & watching a big storm roll through the sky. i did miss camp today, as the 4th there is just such a special holiday and it was strange being only an hour away but not present. last year i enjoyed being there with my old comrades, but it was also fun to change things up this year and enjoy being here.
