a few weeks ago, brett and i started a new adventure. after our years of being alpaca caretakers, we are now occasional goat-sitters! some folks who live outside of montpelier own goats and chickens, and needed new sitters for when they go out of town. we had our first trial run in november for three nights. brett successfully milked the goat, lupe walked the trails, and i collected eggs from the chickens (among other duties). we got to consume the milk that brett got out of the goat, and it was delicious in our coffee! the house is set up on the hill outside of town and has a stunning view. we really enjoyed it and are looking forward to doing it again in the future.
